Mr. Rice brings over 30 years of experience as an information technology architect and program manager for commercial, defense and federal customers. Mr. Rice has engineered specialized hardware devices, developed operating systems, communications protocols and “up-stack” application software.
Mr. Rice was responsible for the Y2K compliance assessment of state owned wireless/radio assets used for public safety to include radios, 800MHz transceivers, Microwave and other tower centric transmission equipment and fitting more than 300 radio towers with generators in the event of power disruption. At MCI, Mr. Rice engineered the first TCP/IP based TV studio, broadcasting three internal corporate channels to executive desktops. As a contractor to the General Services Administration (GSA), Mr. Rice managed the engineering of GSA’s current Enterprise Architecture and supported three Presidential Transition Teams in engineering enterprise IT solutions and customer support processes. Mr. Rice transitioned from Program Management to Business Development (BD), learning the BD-CMM frameworks that govern large business marketing activities.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rice has been asked to speak on technologies and trends within the Information Technology landscape. He has been a key speaker at FOSE on several occasions and on several technologies, the Air Force Small Computer Conference on implementing client/server technologies, The National Press Club and CSPAN simulcast on “Parenting and the Internet” which resulted in a visit to The Whitehouse to meet the First Lady and speak on the same subject. Most recently, Mr. Rice attended Deltek’s Insight conference to present Dynanet’s Business Development Framework targeted for Small to Mid-Tier Businesses.
Mr. Rice joined Dynanet in July of 2012. As a member of Dynanet’s executive management team and the Business Process Engineering Group (BPEG), he continues to develop and institute business practices uniquely tailored to support small to mid-tier businesses. Under his leadership, Dynanet Corporation has grown in the federal marketplace and has developed long-term strategic partnerships with key large IT system integrators and government contractors.
